Reverend Dr. Charlie Dates is a pastor, professor, and public speaker. His influence extends beyond his senior pastoring at the historic Progressive Baptist Church to being an Affiliate Professor at both Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In his speaking and writing, Reverend Dates is an influential advocate for a healthier relationship between race and theology. His work is centered around caring for marginalized communities while expanding the diversity of the Church and its leadership.
